Introduction
My Introduction
I want to start a new series which looks at the many different attributes of God. I have thought about this for some time, but I think the times are right for doing this particular series. This is mainly in response to a number of articles I have read over the past few months pertaining to who God is. I think we have all ran across this statement before “God is Love.” This I do not disagree with, but the problem is that those who make this statement seem to stop there. It’s as if God is just one dimensional in his nature to people who make such a claim. In their attempt to redefine God as just love it strips God of His whole character and attempts to put God under the control of man. For those of you who believe God is just love, don’t be so foolish as to believe this fallacy. As I would label myself a fool if I fell into such idiocy I do the same to those who hold to such an idea. So in response to this ideal that God is Love period I present this series as an argument against such ridiculous thinking.
I will be using Arthur W. Pink’s “The Attributes of God” as the basis for this series. I will then follow up with a series on the nature of God and end with a series on the sovereignty of God. This is the overall outline we will follow as they are in Pink’s book:
